Fels Naptha Review & GIVEAWAY!

I’m so so so behind on blog post, and I’m so so so sorry. Seriously. Behind. AND overwhelmed! With that said, I’m posting this review and giveaway for Fels Naptha tonight, an update on Bubby tomorrow night (at least I think so… usually I get reminders of appointments from the office, but I didn’t this time, so I need to call and confirm that his check up is in fact TOMORROW), and some freebies that I may post tonight if I have time, or possibly this weekend. After that’s finished and I announce the winners of the Sisterhood Magazine Giveaway (Sunday)  and this Giveaway (12/11), I will be taking a break until the 1/2/14! Here it is folks… Purex Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar & Stain Remover. I had used this before, but as part of a home made detergent solution. That was prior to cloth diapering… and I would not recommend homemade detergent for diapering (trust me… I tried… it was a huge FAIL.). In that sense, home made detergent, I really loved Fels-Naptha. It has a great clean scent and really got my clothing clean with the other additives in my soap. I had never however used it as a stain remover.

I followed the directions on my bar (wet bar, rub on stain, allow to sit, etc etc.)… I tried it on a set in stain and a fresh stain. I was bummed about the set in stain, I’ve been looking for something to get those stubborn (kid induced of course) stains, but alas… another fail. I WAS excited to see how well the fresh stains came out! You couldn’t even tell! I typically use Shout! or Oxiclean for my stains, but I’m almost committed to saying that this Fels-Naptha Bar did a better job than my go to products! My next experiment will be to try the bar on some breast milk stains on a few shirts I’ve set aside… when you nurse a baby you get REALLY bad milk stains, we’re talking oil based hard to get out stains. So hopefully that will help!
