Meals By the Week Review & GIVEAWAY!

It took me several years to get the hang of menu planning for our family. Still, to this day, I get so frustrated trying to plan around what we have left in our pantry/fridge and what’s on sale… so I started just sticking to 1-2 stores even though I could save more by going to several different stores. Especially now, that I’m 13 weeks pregnant (nauseous, exhausted and really not in the mood to run all over town to buy groceries) and toting two kids, ages 3 and 1 along with me. Even still, creating a menu plan is exhausting!
I was excited to have the opportunity to review Meals By the Week, this site publishes menus for grocery stores throughout the country. And beyond that, they offer meals for those on specific diets like Paleo, Vegetarian, etc. (They will be offering a clean eating menu soon as well!) Here are two screenshots of a few of their menus:
I was fairly disappointed to find that our top 2 grocery stores were not listed (Ingles and Aldi) because we do the majority of our shopping at those two places. For my subscription I opted for the Walmart Menu, I was pleased with the variety of menu choices it offered but I doubt we could have afforded all the ingredients and choices suggested.
Overall, I was pleased with the easy navigation of the site, the food choices, and ease of use… but if I were to purchase a subscription for myself I would want an option for some of our favorite stores and perhaps a more budget friendly menu.
