Dial – The Boutique Collection: Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Review

The first 4-6 months of having a new baby I become an anti-bacterial gel addict. I do EVERYTHING I can to keep my little one from getting sick. I know, I know, it’s a little insane, and yes I know they can build up antibodies, but do you know how miserable it is to watch your tiny little baby get sick? Despite my best efforts, Baby Bird has still gotten two pretty nasty colds, but I think that’s thanks to Big Sister Boogie and Big Brother Bubby.

Because of my anti-bacterial gel addiction my hands get chapped, really really chapped. They crack, they bleed, they dry out… it’s not attractive and it doesn’t feel all that great either. I’ve tried lots of lotions and hand soaps in hopes of them not being so cracked, and I try to use handsoap and water instead of the anti-bacterial gel when I can (but let’s face it… I have 3 young kids… who has time to stand at the sink?).

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting great results from a Dial handsoap. I figured my hands would stay as dry and chapped as they had been. I didn’t even bother taking pictures because again, I was NOT expecting good results. Well, Dial proved me wrong. My anti-bacterial gel use hasn’t decreased, but my hands look normal again! I don’t know if it’s the moisturizer in the soap or the gentle micro-scrubbers, but it’s helping SO much! My hands are NOT 100% back to normal, but they are softer, significantly less cracked, and I no longer have cracked and bloody knuckles.

The Boutique Collection includes 4 different scents, Yellow Raspberry and Black Sugar, Sugar Cane Husk and Scrub (this is the one I got to try out, smells divine!), Water Blossoms and Coconut Lime Verbena. The ingredients in this soap are meant to hydrate your skin and improve skin dryness, and those little micro-scrubbers I mentioned gently remove dirt and leave your hands feeling smooth and refreshed.

I would love to hear from you! Comment away!
