Blog Every Day September Challenge, Day 16

Day 16 (Monday)  An embarrassing moment. Spill the beans.

Ha… I honestly haven’t had any super embarrassing moments here lately, but I can tell you about when Boogie was probably 7 or so months old. She was teething and fussy and had been irritable all day, J and I had to run errands that day and didn’t get back until late so as soon as we got home I started nursing her. I did so walking up the steps to our apartment without a cover. Now, let me be clear…. I don’t always use a cover, I can nurse discreetly without one… but I wasn’t being discreet. I was just trying to get her calmed down and was completely exposed on that one side. So, here I am, walking up the steps to our apartment trying to get my daughter to calm down and our neighbor walks out the door. And at the SAME moment, Boogie unlatches and starts shrieking, my breast is just hanging out of my shirt for all to see. The neighbor turns around and walks right back inside, Boogie resumes nursing and I hurry through our door and pretend nothing ever happened. Yea… it was great.
