Baltic Amber Teething Necklace – KG Baby Review

We are huge Baltic Amber fans, it’s a great natural pain reliever for teething babies. You’ll find mixed reviews on the internet, some people think it’s a gigantic hoax, but we have found that it really does help relieve some of the pain and aid in minimizing the amount of drooling.

I’m always up for trying different brands of Amber Teething necklaces, you’ll find different styles of beads, threading, clasps and colors. We typically buy off of co-ops or from Inspired By Finn but the price for this particular brand was comparable. My order came in in a small pouch labeled “Pure Amber”. I definitely like the packaging they have on their Amazon listing now, but as you know… I’m partial to owls!

What I really like about purchasing this particular necklace is that it also comes with a silicone teething necklace, that’s a great combination! I received a black one, it’s a good size and seems well made. It also has an easy clasp that will release if your baby pulls too hard, so it won’t hurt your neck or put any strain on you when you’re wearing baby. I usually take advantage of our silicone necklaces when I’m backwearing, you can swing the necklace around so that they have something to play with and gnaw on, otherwise they’ll start pulling your hair! Ouch!

These necklaces seem to be very high quality, I love the polished flat stones on this style.

My only complain is that the length availability is limited. I received the 12″, which is way too long for my 4 month old, Baby Bird. Typically I order the smallest, which is usually around 10.5″. You want to ensure that when you put the necklace on your child that they cannot put the Amber in their mouth, it’s very important to remember that Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces are meant to be worn against the skin, not to be put in your child’s mouth EVER.

This size actually fit better on my son, but I wasn’t able to snap a photo (hello Speedy Gonzalez!). Overall I am very impressed with the quality and price of this necklace, but I hope they start offering more sizes! This is a great value for your money! And… it’s Baby Bird improved 😀
