Mamaway Ring Sling Review
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan and advocate of babywearing, you’ve probably seen posts on my Facebook and Instagram accounts (and even here on the blog!) of J and I wearing our kiddos. My preference is wrapping with woven wraps, but we also love soft structured carriers (mainly Ergo and Beco) and just recently I discovered the beauty of ring slings. I own a woven Didymos sling (made by Sleeping Baby Productions) and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
When I was given the opportunity to review this Mamaway Ring Sling I definitely jumped at the chance! The colorway I chose is called Rainbow Crayon, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Bright, colorful and perfect for the summer!
I was worried about the rings used, but they are sturdy nylon rings and the mama who made my Didymos Ring Sling recommends using those or aluminum rings. I’m just used to the texture and feel of the aluminum rings, so it just threw me off a little! My only complaint really is that the fabric is very slick, so if you happen to wear a very soft shirt or try to use this over a jacket or cardigan…. it may slip and slide. I had an awful time with that when I first tried this on. It wasn’t so bad when I tried it with a different shirt, but it was pretty annoying! I do love that it’s super lightweight and thin, so it’s amazingly cool for summer babywearing.
I would definitely recommend this sling, there are lots of fabulous colors and designs to choose from and you can purchase one for $67.99 on Amazon.
