    Simply Saturday

I don’t know if I should really title this “Simply Saturday”, however I want Saturdays to just simply be Saturdays. No more running around finishing errands that didn’t get done the rest of the week, no more trying to finish piles of laundry that has multiplied, no more wasting away the weekends doing chores. I’m done! My house is a disaster, I have piles, literally PILES of laundry that needs to be accomplished. My bedroom is a hazard zone, there is just stuff everywhere! I’ve gotten really behind on updating on Bubby’s milestones and such his first year, but I think I can be forgiven considering I have a 2 year old running around as well, right?! Ha! Anyways…. Sweet Bubby turned 9 months old on Monday! Crazy! This year has gone by so fast, I can’t even believe it. Sidewalk Paint

Boogie loves anything art related, she loves painting, coloring, gluing, cutting, drawing, etc etc. I love it! So today I searched my Pinterest Boards for ideas and came across “Sidewalk Paint”. The link I had didn’t actually have a recipe so I scoured the internet for one, and it’s SO simple! I used a large 6 sectioned muffin tin, we used a mixture of gel and regular food coloring because that’s just what I had on hand. We made blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, pink and red. Boogie had a blast!

    What a Beautiful Mess

Instead of trying to rewrite this… I thought I would just share what I posted on my personal Facebook page last night…. “I had an epiphany today…. My life is a beautiful mess. A messy, imperfect, completely disorganized, BUT absolutely beautiful mess. I am always so concerned about keeping things clean, keeping things organized and allowing my OCD to take over when the kids get dirty or make messes… But I pushed all that aside today, ignored the mound of laundry in my bathroom, the stacks of dishes in the sink, and I enjoyed my family. My beautiful, messy family.” Seriously. Do you know how hard it is for me…
