And Just Like That… A Year Goes By
I know… I know what you’re thinking. It’s been a year! Where have we been?! Let’s just say it’s been a chaotic, whirlwind of a year with many wonderful and amazing blessings and changes. This will be a long one, folks, but it’s full of everything you’ve missed out on this past year! Let’s start with me… I started classes through the online program at Appalachian State University last fall, and I’ve been working hard ever since! First Week of School in the Books
First week of school mom is done… first full week of school for the kids is complete… and two weeks of school for dad is accomplished. Should I wipe the sweat off my brow? It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, we’re still trying to find our groove and figure out the best routine to fit all of our needs. It’s even more chaotic because J’s schedule at work has been all over the place while he tries to fill positions in his department. It’s Been a Minute
If you’ve checked in the past almost THREE years, you’ve noticed that our blog hasn’t really been active. My last post was in December of 2020 and I don’t really have a good reason aside from life just being busy with a new little one in our home and homeschooling our children as they’ve gotten older. We Have Exciting News!
Yes… it’s true! We are expecting Baby #5, lovingly referred to as Baby Bean from here on out on Mustard Seed Adventures! J is working on a video to share the kids’ reactions. I’m happy to say, everyone is now excited (you’ll notice a little apprehension from Bubby when the video is published). Bean is due in November of this year and we are anxiously anticipating finding out the gender in a few weeks! How far along? 14 weeks Total weight gain/loss: Honestly have no idea… Maternity clothes? Backyard Camping Adventure
Last weekend my husband decided to plan a surprise backyard camping adventure for the kids. He popped up the tent, made a campfire and we enjoyed some music and roasted s’mores that evening. I love watching him make memories with the kids, so I decided to take advantage of some quiet and spent the night inside. It was so quiet! And I was able to sleep in complete darkness (the littles are afraid of the dark, and so we leave the bathroom light on for them). It was a wonderful time for all!
