The Family of Jesus Book Review

I’ve said this many, many times… but Karen Kingsbury is my FAVORITE author. All of her books have been absolutely amazing, I have a hard time putting any of them down! This particular book of hers is different from her normal novels, and just recently came out. Karen takes the main family members of Jesus (Mary, Joseph, James, John the Baptist, Zechariah, Elizabeth) and gives you an inside, fictional look, at what their lives may have been like, and what they may have experienced during Jesus’s lifetime. This was an incredible read, I think sometimes we read our bibles, study the word… but forget to remember that these aren’t…

    The News Is Out!

We are so very excited to announce that we are expecting our 3rd baby! I am due in the beginning of December, so yes…. lots of birthdays at the end of the year! We left Thursday afternoon and came back this morning (Monday). It was fun… but more than fun, it was stressful. We…

A Story Unfinished (99 Days With Eliot) – A Book Review and Giveaway

“Within the pages of A Story Unfinished, Matt Mooney weaves together the surprising heights and heartbreaking depths of 99 days with his son, Eliot. In doing so, he challenges us all to see the beauty God has crafted within the painful realities we all will face.” – Mark Merril, President of Family First, author of All Pro Dad: Seven Essentials to Be a Hero to Your Kids   This book intimidated me when I first read the description. As a parent it’s hard to read and hear stories about another parent losing a child, you already have so many fears of what COULD happen to your own child… it’s hard to bear…

    Sunday Prayer

Last week was my first Sunday Prayer post, and I received a few prayer requests I’d like to share with you! All are anonymous except for my own request, please take some time to read over them and add them to your prayer list this week! You can find our list HERE. It took me some time to find a site I liked to share our requests, and for now I think Prayer List Online will be a good resource to share our prayer requests. You can open up your own account if you wish and you are welcome to add me to your friends so that you can view…
