Blog Every Day September Challenge, Day 7
Day 7(Saturday). My best piece of advice I could give. It can be anything at all. (parenting, marriage, blogging, health, etc) Communication. I really can’t stress that enough when it comes to marriage. J and I, after 7 1/2 years of being together (almost 6 years of marriage), we are STILL working on that. It’s HARD, it’s not fun admitting your wrong, it’s not fun forgiving… but in order to fully trust and honor your husband… you HAVE to communicate. I try to tell J everything, I try to tell him how I’m feeling and what I need from him as a friend, a husband, and a father to…

Blog Every Day September Challenge, Day 6
Day 6(Friday). What have been the three greatest moments of your life? 1 – Marrying the love of my life, not everything went the way I wanted it to (wedding wise, that is), but the best part was this amazing man wanted to spend the rest of his life with me! 2 – Having my sweet Boogie, my beautiful miracle. She is so smart and absolutely one of the best things in my life. 3 – Having this little monster of mine, Bubby. And I say monster because he is currently trying to eat my arm! This kid keeps me on my toes, but he is the most cuddly, and…

Faith Like a Mustard Seed
“He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” -Matthew 13:31-32 Faith like a mustard seed… one of the smallest seeds, and that’s all the faith you need to move mountains! How incredible is that?! I went through several different names before I settled on Mustard Seed Mommy. I wanted something that really described…

Getting Through the Storm
I don’t know about you, but I know that sometimes I have trouble remembering that God didn’t promise that today or tomorrow would be easy… just that He would never give us more than we can handle. Right now J and I are both struggling with a lot of different things. Boogie is becoming a sassy little girl, her attitude is hard to deal with lately and we are at a loss as to what to do with her. We don’t believe in spanking, say what you will, but it’s just not something we will ever do. So with her age comes defiance, stubborness, sassyness, and lots of tantrums. It’s…

One Thing Remains
I have been super emotional lately, there’s just SO much happening in my life right now and it’s hard to grasp all of these phenomenal changes! Let me back up a little bit first since I’ve been totally MIA here lately… Let’s do this in bullet fashion, shall we? My son will be THREE months old on Tuesday… he is bound and determined to sit up on his own, he pulls himself up when we hold his hands and just giggles! It’s just going by WAY to fast! Boogie is flying through the things we are teaching her… and we just invested in a (used) iPad and she is devouring…
